Transcription From Ellsworth Kelly’s Line, Form and Color
In 1951 Ellsworth Kelly conceived Line Form Color as a series of studies, both drawings and collages, later that year he applied to the Guggenheim Foundation grant to produce a book, “an alphabet of plastic pictorial elements,”
In 2013, while working on a short series of “transcriptions from canonical artists” unique books, I chose eight pages from Kelly’s book and re-made them with sewing machine. The result was The Form and color of my line.
